Gary: you decided to run as an independent candidate. Explain the reason for not going through the traditional vetting process of being slated by the Civic Betterment Party and participating in their town meeting to vote for their candidates.

Q9: What changes will you vigorously pursue within the next 2 years to rejuvenate the business climate in Glen Ellyn (in either our downtown district or elsewhere), and what specific concepts of the downtown strategic plan would you implement immediately if the conditions were right? What are the dependencies to do so?

Q2: Both of you have served as village trustees. When did you serve the village and what were some of your greatest moments/accomplishments as a board trustee?

Gary Fasules: My background will bring leadership, unity, and solutions to Glen Ellyn.

I provide leadership familiar with all aspects of the community as a long term resident, homeowner, parent, trustee, chamber member, business executive, and participation on various District 41 and 87 committees qualifies me to be Village president.

Glen Ellyn Village President Candidates

The Village of Glen Ellyn and the next village president face many challenges regarding financial resources, village services and public safety, and vitality of its business districts.

On Tuesday, April 7th, Glen Ellyn residents will vote to elect the next village president, a choice between Civic Betterment Party candidate Mark Pfefferman and Independent candidate Gary Fasules.

Citizens for Glen Ellyn Preservation Hosts Meeting with Village President Candidates Gary Fasules and Mark Pfefferman

The Citizens for Glen Ellyn Preservation monthly meeting will take place at the Civic Center in the Clayton room on the second floor, March 5 at 7:30 p.m.

This special meeting will be a unique opportunity to learn about upcoming events. Village Trustee, Michelle Thorsell will discuss where we go next with the downtown strategic plan, and update us on recent issues before the Village Board.
