GEL FUN: A Ride in the Sky with Santa

For years my wife and I have taken our children and out of town guests downtown to experience the Glen Ellyn Holiday Walk. It's a wonderful tradition - watching Santa stroll down Main St., squeeze into a fire truck snorkel, ride to the top of the Christmas (PC - Holiday) tree, then tickle the treetop to illuminate the lights to the screams of the crowd below.

Pre-Teen Advisory Board

If you are in 4th or 5th Grade, join us for pizza at our first P.T.A.B. meeting. Help us learn more about you while we do a craft, play games, or just hang out. Sign up starts Jan. 2.

Dogs Like Books Too!

Children can sign up to read to a therapy dog in this program from the Glenbard All Breed Obedience Club. Children must be able to read to participate. Sign up for a 15 – minute time slot.

The Chicago "L"

Author Greg Borzo, whose first home was a few steps from the “L,” enjoys riding it almost every day. Formerly the editor of Modern Railroads magazine, he is now a science writer at Chicago’s Field Museum.
