Discover the Magic of Radio at the MAC March 21

L.A. Theatre Works, the foremost radio theater company in the country, will recreate broadcasts of H.G. Wells’ “War of the Worlds” and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Lost World” to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 21.

Directed by actor John de Lancie, who played “Q” on “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” Wells’ “War of the Worlds” and Doyle’s “The Lost World” give audiences not only two masterpieces of science fiction and adventure, but the radio magic behind their original broadcasts.

David Munnelly Band March 6 to 8 at the MAC

Renowned Irish button accordion wizard David Munnelly brings the timeless sounds of traditional Irish music and the flare of the Roaring 20s to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at College of DuPage in three performances Friday to Sunday, March 6 to 8.

The David Munnelly Band, which has sold out shows March 6 and 7, has added a third show, set for 7 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the MAC’s 200-seat Theatre 2.

Kidjazz! at the MAC March 6

Join the Arts Center Jazz Ensemble (ACJE) and Chicago musicians Reginald Robinson and Darryl Boggs for an introduction to jazz that not only is fun to listen to, but gets family members dancing in the aisles.

Kidjazz! will be presented at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, at 7 p.m. Friday, March 6. This annual presentation is co-sponsored by WDCB, 90.9 FM.

Hit the Beach With Dave Rudolf at the MAC March 14

Grammy nominee and a favorite of the Parents Choice Awards, songster Dave Rudolf invites families to shed the winter blues and hit the beach for “Beach Party With Dave Rudolf” at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

Hubbard Street Dance at the MAC March 27 and 28

Join one of Chicago’s hottest contemporary dance troupes as Hubbard Street Dance Chicago takes the stage at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, with a series of new pieces at 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Jim Vincent, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC) is celebrating 30 years as one of the most renowned companies in the world and annually performs for more than 100,000 people.
