GEL HOT NEWS: COD trustees vote to cut ties to Glen Ellyn

For 39 years, the College of DuPage has been a part of the village of Glen Ellyn. But on Wednesday, COD's board of trustees formally endorsed a resolution seeking to disconnect the 273-acre campus from the municipality. Community Consolidated School District 89 is a comprehensive pre-K-8 public school district serving students and residents from the southern portions of Glen Ellyn, Wheaton and Lombard. District 89 is bordered roughly by Finley Road on the east, President Street on the west, Roosevelt Road on the north and I-88 on the south.
