Glen Ellyn parks millions over capital budget - An independent auditor praised the Glen Ellyn Park District on Tuesday for its financial reporting as he presented a report that showed the district had come in $4 million over its budgeted amount in capital expenditures last year.

GEL SHARE: Grace Lutheran Church to Collect 100 Bags to Celebrate 100 Years

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Grace Lutheran Church’s, church members embark on a project to benefit the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.

Grace, located at 493 Forest and Pennsylvania Avenues in downtown Glen Ellyn, has been the home of the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry for 30 years. During this time the members of the church have served as volunteers, food collectors, clerical helpers and numerous other positions that help the operation of the Food Pantry. Many local residents, community organizations and schools have actively contributed to the success of the Food Pantry.
